This area has excellent intermediate and advanced skiing. The regions of Corviglia, Marguns, Corvatsch, Furtschellas and Diavolezza offer over 350 km of excellent slopes and about 34 restaurants within the skiing area. For skiers and snowboarders with a wish for extreme, the area of Corvatsch would be recommendable. This mountain offers a variety of steep slopes and backcountry options. Corviglia/ Marguns is the biggest skiing area in the Engadine valley, known for the breath-taking views, high quality of slopes and well-reputed restaurants. It is also known for the Piz Nair as the steepest start slope in Switzerland with a 100% drop. Ski-in ski-out conditions are not very common for the Engadine valley, so count on driving or walking to the chosen ski area. Interesting sights like the Segantini Museum, the leaning tower of the Mauritius Church, the surrounding Engadine Lake District with Lake Sils, Lake Silvaplana and Lake St. Moritz as well as the horse sledges taking you to the glacier of Roseg, the valley of Fex or to Lake Staz are worth a visit.

St Moritz is big on the social scene with many excellent restaurants, a casino; the King's & Dracula's nightclub and various spas. Sightseeing options are abundant: the interesting Segantini Museum in the town; the Engadine Lake District; a trip on the Bernina Express which is the most scenic railway in Europe; the Swiss National Park - Switzerland's biggest nature reserve of 172square kilometres. A horse sledge trip to Roseg, Fex or Lake Staz will be a memorable event.

This is a snow sport mecca per excellence with 350km of pistes for downhill skiing, very good intermediate skiing, 180km of cross-country skiing tracks; 150km of winter walking trails; and toboganning for exhilarating fun. There is a Fun Park for snowboarders with a permanently operational half-pipe. For the more adventurous there are tandem parachute jumps and altitude training facilities.
