Smart and stylish

The apartment provides beautiful views of the Zermatt village and the peaks towering above the Trift gorge, although the Matterhorn itself is not visible. The quiet, secluded hamlet of Winkelmatten, where the chalet is located, is known as the Beverly Hills of Zermatt. There is a bus stop 3 minutes away, which takes you to the Matterhorn Express base lift station, and on to the centre of Zermatt, a brisk 15 minute walk away. By taking the Moos resort run, you can ski to within 5 minutes of the chalet at the end of the day (snow conditions permitting). The chalet is comfortably situated 150m away from the Winkelmatten chapel, next to which there is convenience store, cafe/restaurant and bus-stop.

FULL DESCRIPTION

The living area of the stylish 1st floor apartment provides very generous space for 4 and it is exotically decorated with top-end designer furniture. Under the extra high sloping wooden ceiling beams, in the middle of the space, you will be warmed by the crackling logs in the free standing walk-around glass fireplace. There are two distinct sofa areas, one by the fireplace, one by the large screen LCD TV and a long wooden dining table easily seats 8. The lustrous red lacquer kitchen has a central island unit and professional equipment. To complete the picture, the south and west French windows lead through to 2 large balconies/terraces.

The apartment sleeps 4 in 2 double bedrooms. One has a double bed and a walk-in wardrobe, while the other has 2 beds that can be made up as twins or pushed together. There is one very elegant Italian designer bathroom with a bath, large separate shower, two sinks and WC.
