The Oscars of the world ski industry

World Ski awards 1

Competition, identifying a winner, recognizing excellence brings out the best in all of us. It encourages us to work even harder, to push ourselves to even higher levels of competence and achievement. This is true in all facets of life – also in the highly competitive and extremely well developed, multi-milliard travel industry.

Everyone loves a holiday. For many individuals or families or groups of colleagues, a luxurious ski holiday at a beautiful resort, is the highlight of their year. This is the time when you put the hard work and sleepless nights, the problems and heartbreaks and disappointments behind you. Now is the time to enjoy the freedom of skiing down a pristine slope, to be uplifted by the beauty of the natural surroundings of majestic mountains and snowy slopes, to indulge in the luxury of a top class ski chalet: opulent facilities, panoramic views, excellent service, pampering in a spa, relaxing in an indoor heated pool, enjoying good food and good wine and good company.

This is the motivation for the creation of the World Ski Awards, which forms part of World Travel Awards. The aim is serve to celebrate and reward excellence in ski tourism through an annual awards programme, and 2013 saw the 1st Annual World Ski Awards Winners.

The defining criteria are the facilities and services of your resort or chalet: the winner sets the benchmark for all others to aspire to. The winners provide their clients with the ultimate experience: which says a lot in an industry that deals in superlatives…

The 2013 announcement of the winners was hosted at the A-ROSA Kitzbühel Hotel in Austria. Market leaders and tourism role players around the globe were present to celebrate the very best in the global ski tourism industry.

Each winner was presented with a Winner’s Trophy or Plaque as a physical symbol of the achievement. But, a World Ski Award is so much more than a trophy to put on your mantelpiece. This is a world-class achievement and the perfect marketing tool to let the skiing world take notice of you, the opportunity to promote your winning products and services to a wider clientele.

We are extremely proud to announce that some properties and resorts where Leo Trippi operates are to be found on the winner’s list:
