Kitzbühel: The 6th Streif Vertical Up, Feb 27
Who is the fittest athlete and the fastest in “Running up vertical, the Battle of the Hahnenkamm”?
The Streif uphill is 860 meters from the starting point to the finish area. There are icy key points such Hausbergkante, Steilhang or the Mousetrap. The winner is whoever reaches the top first. What makes this event so much fun is that there are no rules! Participants have a free choice of material as long as all is driven under its own power.
The athletes have a free choice of route and a choice between the original “Streif” or the family “Streif”. The original Streif is about speed and in the family Streif you must have a backpack including what you need to take with you (or not) and arrive at your destination with it. You will be timed and the start will be in alphabetical order. There are various fun and cash prizes to compete for!
