Luxury Chalets Bad Kleinkirchheim

Skiing fit for an Olympic champion and spas worthy of gold medals.

Famously the favourite ski resort of the downhill hero, Franz Klammer, Bad Kleinkirchheim’s extensive ski area is something to be marvelled at. Nestled in the corner of the Nock Mountain National Park, in the south east of Austria, the breathtaking views are infinite. This World Cup resort, set at altitudes between 1,100m and 2,055m above sea level, is renowned for the many hours of sun it enjoys as well as its emphasis on well-being since it is home some world-class thermal spas.

Over 100km of perfectly groomed piste guarantees you both diverse and fun skiing when in Bad Kleinkirchheim. By virtue of over 20 comfortable lifts as well as numerous access points queues are not a concern in this resort. There is something for every winter sport enthusiast here; whether it be challenging black runs or more relaxed skiing for the family. Plus, there is also an easily reachable snow park which has a vast variety of banked turns and obstacles meaning everyone can get their adrenaline fix. The non-skiers can also keep themselves occupied with over 60km of winter hiking, showing off Bad Kleinkirchheim’s stunning scenery in all its glory.

Indulge in thermal luxury amidst the stunning snowy peaks.

The thermal spas in this resort are world-renowned, not least for their luxurious treatments and beautiful architecture. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the many natural resources on offer as well as 13 different types of sauna. Though one of the smaller Austrian resorts, Bad Kleinkirchheim by no means lacks style and sophistication; with an abundance of luxury chalets and top quality hotels scattered through the town and a multitude of exquisite restaurants.

Just a stone’s throw away from Bad Kleinkirchheim is the jaw-droppingly beautiful Lake Millstätter See. Here one can enjoy a whole host of activities ranging from ice skating, to snow shoeing and even  tobogganing. In December this magical place becomes almost fairytale-like; a floating Christmas terrace holding a Christmas market makes for an unforgettable experience, with warm glasses of gluhwein, roasted chestnuts and irresistible ginger biscuits.
