Luxury in Hakuba: Hours of fun in the snow

Welcome to the illustrious Happo-One ski resort, a definite favourite in Japan and popular amongst visitors from all over the world. It is a prime resort for the 21st century because it has become known for its commitment to preserve the environment. The resort aims to protect the pristine area so that skiers will have the privilege to enjoy its unspoilt natural beauty for many years to come. At the Happo-One ski school, an excellent trainer will be happy to help you to enhance your skiing skills and to enjoy the variety of slopes to the fullest. After an exhilarating day of mastering the sport, you can relax in a lavish hot spring, or local Onsen, before residing to the comfort and beauty of your private rental chalet. Enjoy some of the freshest Japanese seafood dishes or curl up in front of the fireplace when you stay in the lap of luxury in your winter escape. The resort staff is professional, friendly and always at your service to make sure that your luxury winter holiday is an absolute dream.

Situated on the island of Honshu, and as you get closer to the resort your breath will be taken away by the magical views of Hakuba's mountains and the glittering snow, forests and picture perfect village. Whizz down Mt Karamatsu with the majestic Japanese Alps behind you when you embark on one of Happo-One's famous runs. Book yourself a luxury rental chalet, let the beauty of this destination inspire you and be happy in this natural playground with a gondola, 25 chairlifts and 13 pistes, of which the longest is 6.8km. Narita (Tokyo) Airport is the closest airport, 5-6 hours by road. A train/bus combo is quicker: take a train from Narita to Tokyo (or Ueno), then a bullet train (Shinkansen) to Nagano, and then a 1 hour bus ride to Hakuba. The total trip takes about 3.5-4 hours, depending upon connection timing. The other advantage of taking the trains is that it provides great insight into a part of the Japanese culture. This resort is just over an hour by train from Matsumoto station.
