Luxury Chalets & Apartments in Kiroro

Kiroro has a range of luxury accommodation ranging from award-winning hotels to ski-in/ski-out luxury residences. We recommend Yu Kiroro, based less than 100 metres from the Gateway express gondola with ski-in / ski-out access, where we have two exceptional apartments. With a private 3 bed deluxe or 3 bed superior apartment you will have access to the Yu Kiroro hotel facilities which include a ski valet service, Kids Space, 24-hour gym equipped with free-weights, treadmills and exercise bikes and a shared onsen which can be booked for private use.

Kiroro is ideal for family ski holidays, offering convenient lodging at the base of slopes and a well-developed ski school. There are several dining options and a couple of bars in Kiroro, but if it is serious apres-ski you are after, then Niseko is only an hour away. Kiroro has a long season, usually opening from late November until early May.

Skiing in Kiroro

Kiroro is a medium sized resort (by Japanese standards) based near the west coast of Japan not far from world famous Niseko. Like most resorts in Japan, Kiroro is well known for it’s deep powder skiing due to it’s fantastic snowfall. For those skiers who are looking to stick to the pistes there is varied terrain from beginner to advanced across the three peaks giving you plenty of options to find your favourite run.

A much quieter resort than Niseko, Kiroro is well known for being a family friendly resort with good amenities and lower runs for the kids. For those skiers purely travelling for the powder, you won’t be disappointed as Kiroro has a fantastic lift infrastructure alongside great off piste and side-country/ backcountry access. We do suggest hiring a guide to ensure you have the best off-piste experience and ensure you keep safe.

The Best Bars & Restaurants in Kiroro

For a smaller resort Kiroro still has some fantastic dining options. You won’t have to travel far to find luxury dining as the Hotel Yu Kiroro has one of the finest restaurants in town, Yukashi. Yukashi offers a premium Hokkaido dining experience, using local and seasonal ingredients. Those looking to venture outside the hotel complex can’t go wrong with a visit to Shunsai Steakhouse offering not only exceptional steaks but local fish dishes as well.

If you are looking for a quiet drink after dinner then the Lobby lounge at the Sheraton hotel is a must visit for a drink beside the roaring fireplace. Whilst there isn’t a large amount of nightlife in Kiroro many hotels bars provide the perfect venue for a sophisticated cocktail or sake such as the bar lounge at Alpine Brasserie.
