Luxury Chalets in the Arlberg

As one of the largest ski areas in the Alps, the Arlberg is a skiers paradise.

The Arlberg refers to a massif between Vorarlberg and Tyrol but is more commonly known for being the largest interconnected ski area in Austria. Often referred to as “the cradle of Alpine skiing”, it was in the Arlberg that one of the most successful ski clubs in the world was founded. Ski Club Arlberg was just one of the many pioneering innovations in the region over the years. Others include the first ski race in the Alps, the first ski lift in Austria and the first heated chairlifts in the world.

The Arlberg is now one of the five largest ski areas in the world, offering 305 km of downhill skiing served by 88 ski lifts. It is one of the most snow-sure regions in the Alps, with slopes ranging from 1,300 to 2,800 metres above sea level and an average of nine metres of snow every winter. The Arlberg is comprised of eight resorts; St. Anton, St. Christoph, Stuben, Lech, Oberlech, Zürs, Schröcken and Warth. Each resort has its own individual characteristics with St. Anton renowned for its legendary nightlife and Lech for its refined ambience and traditional Christmas markets.

There are a diverse range of luxury chalets & apartments in the Arlberg

Whether you’re looking for a grand chalet with incredible facilities or a self-catered apartment, all options are available in the Arlberg. Some of the most impressive chalets in the Arlberg are located in Lech. Chalet N, Uberhaus and Chalet Arula 1 and 2 offer everything from superb spa facilities and cinema rooms to party rooms and vast wine cellars. For a more relaxed setting and ski-in/ski-out accommodation, St. Christoph is worth considering.

One of the most popular resorts in the Arlberg is St. Anton. Well-known for its relentless party spirit, St. Anton has some great chalets, particularly for large groups. Chalet Eden Rock and Montfort Lodge are able to accommodate over 20 guests each yet there are also some charming apartments too. Just a 10-minute drive from St. Anton is Zurs, a compact village with some fantastic luxury chalets.
