1. Always book with a trusted agent or operator

With the uncertainty we have all experienced over the past couple of years, it has never been more important to book with a trusted agent or operator who can guarantee your money is safe. Leo Trippi is a member of the Federation of Swiss Travel Agents, is bonded under the Swiss Travel Guarantee and has TIDS membership with IATA so you can rest assured that you are in good hands.

With the demand for ski chalets so high next season, it is likely that fraudulent websites and scams will be on the rise. Be aware that if it seems too good to be true then it probably is. If you are unsure about anything then don’t hesitate to contact us.

2. Book early

We are already receiving enquiries and securing chalets for our guests for next season, so it is advisable to book earlier than usual for the best choice of luxury ski accommodation. Capacity for peak periods in popular resorts such as Verbier, Zermatt and Courchevel 1850 is already filling up so there’s no time like the present to start planning your holiday.

Whilst there may be some deals to be had nearer the time, these tend to be in less popular resorts and there is little room for movement over peaks weeks such as Christmas, New Year and Half Term.

For most properties, a small deposit is required now with the majority of the balance due closer to the time of departure. When booking a chalet with us we will take you carefully through the terms and conditions before any payment is made.

3. Be flexible

Whilst you may be set on a ski holiday in a certain resort, it is worth being open to other destinations and options. Our team is passionate about understanding what you want to get out of your holiday, and with their expert knowledge, are able to pair you with the perfect resort and property. It may be that you can get your exact requirements for better value, (be that a ski-in/ski-out chalet with a swimming pool or a family-friendly chalet close to the centre) in a destination that hadn’t occurred to you before.

4. Take into account additional costs

Before booking your luxury ski holiday, it is worth working out how much you are prepared to spend. It is important that you take into account additional costs such as airport transfers, ski hire, ski lessons or guiding and any other activities you might want to partake in.

When booking with Leo Trippi, you benefit from our comprehensive destination knowledge, advice and planning. We are on hand before, during and after your ski holiday and are able to organise any extras you may need, tailoring your holiday accordingly. We recognise that it is the little details that really matter and are passionate about providing you with the best possible experience.

5. Think beyond skiing

A holiday in the mountains doesn’t just have to be about skiing. These days ski resorts have so much more to offer. For example, Les Gets offers a wide variety of activities on and off the slopes for the whole family. From electric snowmobiling, dog sledding and tobogganing to chocolate workshops and torchlit trails, there is something for everyone to enjoy, including non-skiers.

If you are planning a celebration during your trip then why not let us help you make it extra special with a glacier picnic, live band playing in your chalet or horse-drawn sleigh ride around the resort? The options are endless.
