The Chalet - Savoyard sophistication

With seven world-class ski resorts, including Sainte Foy and Val d’Isere, under a 30-minute drive away, Chalet Pelerin provides a base from which guests can enjoy extreme mountain adventures. Nestled between Savoyard farm buildings, Chalet Pelerin is situated on the French and Italian border in the small, authentic village of Le Miroir. Perfectly situated, the chalet gives guests access to incredible ski terrain as well as offering privacy and a taste of the local culture.

As much as Chalet Pelerin is about outdoor adventure, you won’t be disappointed to return to this cosy mountain retreat. With sheepskin throws, wooden beams, oversize leather sofas and antlers hung above large stone fireplaces, this is alpine chic at its best. The property accommodates 14 people in total and has four king-size bedrooms, a bunk room with four twin beds and a children’s playroom with a built-in twin bunk bed. With a private balcony, log fire and steam shower, the master suite is particularly luxurious. After a day tackling the powder, take a dip in the indoor saltwater pool, revive yourself in the Finnish sauna or soak aching muscles in the outdoor hot tub.

The Food - French flavours galore

Afterwards settle down to a feast created by your own private chef - whether you prefer fondue, wood-fired pizza or something more extravagant, your chef can tailor the menu to your preferences. Eat around the family-style dining table or on the terrace beneath the fairy lights whilst admiring views of Mont Pourri. French wines also take centre stage, with nightly pairings by an in-house Sommelier.

A recommended itinerary - from France to Italy

A mix between on-piste, off-piste and heli-skiing, a different resort every day, not to mention epic backwater powder and an extraordinary variety of terrain - this really is the ultimate ski adventure. After arriving and settling into the chalet, start the week as you mean to go on with an early morning yoga session before skiing the sunny slopes of La Rosiere.

Next, a quick trip over to Italy for a gourmet lunch before returning to the chalet, taking in some incredible off-piste terrain en-route, for drinks and dinner in the chalet’s Alpage.

Start day three off with a hearty breakfast before heading over to Tignes and Val d’Isere for some on and off-piste skiing. You might even fit in some heli-skiing before enjoying the apres scene at the famous Folie Douce.

On day four perhaps you might like to try a different kind of winter adventure - cross country ski, ice skate, dogsled or paraglide at Les Arcs - the options are endless. The next day might see you enjoy the local slopes of Sainte Foy before returning to Chalet Pelerin for cocktails and canapes and a soak in the hot tub.
