One of many reasons why people book a luxury ski chalet is to indulge themselves and unwind in their own private spa. There’s nothing better after a day on the slopes than returning to your chalet for a relaxing massage, soak in the hot tub or a steam in the hammam or sauna. We have a number of luxury chalets with hot tubs and swimming pools but these six chalets take wellness in the mountains to a new level.

Luxury chalet Manasa pool Courchevel 1850

1. Chalet Manasa, Courchevel 1850

Located in the Chenus area of Courchevel 1850, the impressive ski-in/ski-out Chalet Manasa has everything you could possibly need in a mountain retreat, from a private nightclub and games room to a cinema room and, of course, a seriously luxurious spa.

With exposed rock and silver birch trees surrounding the indoor swimming pool, you can almost believe you are swimming in a forest. Relax on the loungers surrounding the pool or soak away any aches and pains in the indoor hot tub before hot-footing it into the nearby sauna. The list of wellness facilities in this spectacular Courchevel chalet continues with a hammam, bucket shower and massage room where you can enjoy bespoke treatments. A second hot tub is located outdoors on the south-west facing terrace and if all that relaxation gets too much then head to the state-of-the-art gym for a workout.

Chalet Cryst'Aile swimming pool and spa

2. Chalet Cryst’Aile, Courchevel 1850

Part of the exclusive Hameau de la Volière, Chalet Cryst’Aile is set over five floors with spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. The beautiful interior, designed by Christophe Tollemer, includes many bespoke elements including the huge table in the dining room. It, therefore, comes as no surprise that just as much thought and detail has been put into the spa area, with the entire basement level of the chalet dedicated to wellness.

After a day on the mountain, the indoor swimming pool with its adjacent relaxation area and bar will be a welcome sight. There’s also an indoor Jacuzzi, tranquil massage room, large sauna and a hammam. If you want to soak up the mountain views, then the outdoor Jacuzzi on the terrace is the perfect place to do this, with a glass of fizz in hand.

Chalet L'Hotse spa area

3. Chalet L’hotse, Val d’Isere

Found in the heart of Val d’Isere, Chalet L’hotse is a superb family-friendly chalet with a warm and welcoming ambiance from the moment you step through the door.

The candlelit spa area is just as inviting with its indoor swimming pool complete with a built-in state-of-the-art projector screen that operates at the touch of a button. Take a dip in the pool and swim a few lengths whilst watching your favourite movie - what could be better? There’s also a massage room, sauna and hammam as well as an indoor jacuzzi and state-of-the-art gym. The relaxation continues on the terrace of this luxury chalet in Val d'Isere, with access to the outdoor hot tub and pure mountain air as you enjoy views of Val d’Isere.

Luxury chalet Infinity spa with swimming pool

4. Chalet Infinity, Chamonix

Just a short drive from Chamonix's ski lifts, Chalet Infinity is a wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate. Nestled in a small hamlet, the chalet offers elevated panoramic views across the whole of the Mont Blanc mountain range.

Matching its impressive views is the stunning wellness area with infinity pool, complete with jet stream and massage jets. Chill out by the pool in the beautifully-furnished relaxation area before testing out the sauna or hammam. Enjoy post-ski treatments in the massage treatments or head up to the top floor terrace and soak in the outdoor hot tub whilst admiring the magnificent views of the valley.

Luxury chalet spa swimming pool

5. Chalet Spa, Verbier

As its name suggests, Chalet Spa is not short on wellness facilities. Set in a secluded spot close to the slopes, Chalet Spa is one of the most luxurious chalets in Verbier. Set over four floors, the chalet enjoys panoramic views of the Alps and is home to a number of fantastic facilities.

Living up to its name, the spectacular spa area is chalet wellness as its best. The highlight has to be the 10 x 3.3m indoor chlorine-free swimming pool. A huge glass window at one end of the pool gives unobstructed views of the Alps and opens up to the terrace giving you easy access to the large outdoor Jacuzzi. There’s also a separate open-air Canadian cedar hot tub for 10 should you prefer. At the other end of the pool is a sauna, hammam and a Technogym with a running machine, cross trainer, Concept 2 rower and various weights.

Chalet Lena St Anton spa with swimming pool

6. Chalet Lena, St. Anton

Brand new last season, Chalet Lena is one of the finest chalets in St. Anton. Located in the quiet Nasserein district, the chalet offers style and luxury in abundance with five floors of living and an entire level dedicated to wellness.

We love the indoor-outdoor swimming pool allowing you to swim from indoors into the fresh mountain air at the touch of a button. Beside the pool are several loungers to relax on and there’s a choice of saunas too - Bio or Finnish- as well as a hammam. Muscles can be eased in the hot tub or the designated treatment room where you can indulge in a post-ski massage.
