We are delighted to reveal that one of our chosen charities for this year is Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK). This is a cause that we are really passionate about. We love the mountains and want as many people to experience the thrill of skiing and snowboarding as possible.

Why Disability Snowsport UK?

During his time teaching in Verbier, Leo Trippi’s CEO Oliver has seen first-hand the power of adaptive skiing in transforming people’s relationship with their disability. He notes, "training to be an adaptive ski instructor was one of the most rewarding courses I took during my time as a ski coach and I'd encourage anyone to do the training to make skiing more accessible to those with disabilities"

About DSUK

Disability Snowsport UK is “committed to enabling all people to participate in snowsport, regardless of disability, injury or experience.” The charity has over 40 years experience of teaching adaptive snowsports in the UK, operating ski schools at locations throughout the country as well as providing opportunities to ski and snowboard in the mountains worldwide.

Become a Volunteer or Instructor

There are plenty of ways to get involved in DSUK whether that be volunteering or instructing. There’s the opportunity to assist with fundraising events, help out on Activity Weeks, listen to members stories and do some social reporting to name just a few. DSUK helps to provide comprehensive and professional training for instructors and volunteers. Instructor training is run through the British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI).

Parasnowball 2019

We are pleased to be the Exclusive Media Sponsor for the Parasnowball 2019. This unique event was first held in March 2015 with over 250 guests joining DSUK patrons and Paralympic champions at the Cumberland Hotel in London. The event has grown year on year and this year is no exception with the ball being held at The Hurlingham Club in London on the 7th November.

Along with celebrity patrons including Pippa Middleton and Frank Gardner, the fundraising event provides guests with the opportunity to meet some of DSUK’s skiers and supporters. A three-course meal will be topped off with a silent auction and raffle draw to raise further funds for this incredible charity.
