With a lively range of après ski venues, the popular ski resort of Chamonix has plenty to keep you entertained following a day on the slopes. Providing a large selection of bars at the base of different ski areas, Chamonix also offers numerous opportunities to enjoy a drink in the centre of town.

1. Chambre Neuf

Found near the train station at the top end of town, Chambre Neuf is one of the most popular apres ski bars for locals and visitors alike offering live bands, table dancing and happy hour from 8pm. As the evening progresses the fun continues at Chambre Neuf with a DJ taking over from the live bands later in the evening. Open until 1 am, Chambre Neuf will keep you dancing all night long.

2. Les Marmottons

Plenty of live music can also be found at the foot of Argentiere’s home run on the terrace of Les Marmottons. Serving refreshing cocktails and beer, soak up the sunshine and unwind to live music. For those who fancy a bite to eat following a day on the slopes, Les Marmottons also has a selection of local produce including fresh mountain cheeses and cold meats.

3. La Folie Douce

One of the only ski-in/ski-out bars in Chamonix, La Folie Douce offers lively entertainment from 4pm to 8pm. With DJs, dancers and musicians, it's clear to see why La Folie Douce is a favourite apres ski spot for many. Experience a variety of live bands from acoustic to rock music, La Folie Douce has everyone's music taste covered.

4. Elevation 1904

Located on one of the most popular streets for apres ski, Avenue Michel Croz, Elevation 1904 can be found opposite Chambre Neuf and is often frequented by locals. With a cosy interior and outdoor terrasse, Elevation 1904 is the perfect spot to enjoy a cold beer or a cocktail or two in the evening.

5. Bunker Club

For those looking to extend après-ski into the early hours of the morning, Bunker Club has a 47metre bar paired with LED coloured lighting and music. Open from 11 pm to 6 am, Bunker Club also organise themed events throughout the winter season.

6. L’Alibi

Specialising in wine, tapas and cocktails, L’Alibi has a relaxing atmosphere with a vast selection of whiskey and gin to try. Found in the heart of Chamonix, this popular bar is open every day until two in the morning with experienced bar men on hand to make you the perfect cocktail.

7. L'Amnesia

Chamonix’s largest nightclub,L’Amnesia plays host to a variety of theme nights with internationally recognised DJ’s providing the soundtrack for the evening. Ideally located near the Aiguille du midi cable car, L'Amnesia is open from midnight until 4:00 a.m with a selection of House, Electro and R'n'B music to enjoy. The club has two rooms which can accommodate up to 600 people.

8. Cha Cha Cha

For lovers of wine, Cha Cha Cha is a wine and spirits shop that also offers regular wine tastings every night except Thursday and Saturday starting at 18h00 and 19h30. For 15 Euros, visitors are able to try 6 wines/champagnes or alternatively special tastings can be arranged if you wish to sample some of the Grand Crus that ChaChaCha stocks. Open until 21:00, enjoy a glass of wine or two at Cha Cha Cha accompanied by a delicious charcuterie board.

9.Le Monkey

Providing a lively bar scene and street-food inspired cuisine, Le Monkey is a popular spot for friends looking to grab a bite to eat and drink following a day on the slopes. With a vibrant atmosphere, Le Monkey offers a selection of wine, beer and cocktails with an appetizing menu with dishes including grilled swordfish, quesadillas and homemade burgers.

10.Quartz Bar

A chic lounge, Quartz Bar provides a selection of wines from the alpine region, as well as a number of vintage wines and champagne. During the peak winter season, live lounge music is played and a selection of cocktails are also available for those who fancy something a little sweeter.
