Mountain Restaurants in St Moritz

White Marmot
Located at Corviglia on the slopes of Piz Nair, this gastronomic hotspot serves haute cuisine dishes in a stylish 1960s-inspired interior. Enjoy magnificent views over the Engadin mountains and lakes as you dine on mini lobster burgers, beef entrecôte and apple strudel.

El Paradiso
At 2,174 metres, restaurant views don’t get much better than those from El Paradiso’s panoramic terraces. With sheepskin-covered sunbeds, this is the perfect spot to soak up the sun for a couple of hours between runs. The menu is a mix of gourmet cuisine and local specialities including fondue and it has an extensive wine list for those who enjoy a tipple or two.

Langosteria St. Moritz
Taking over the CheCha restaurant on Salastrains, Langosteria opened in January 2023 to great acclaim. A fish lovers paradise, Langosteria offers raw and cooked fish, oysters and seafood in all shapes and sizes!

Chasellas
Situated next to Suvretta House, not only is this an excellent meeting point with an inviting sunny terrace, but it also serves the best rustic specialities including rosti and wiener schnitzel. In the evening, the restaurant swaps its Swiss cuisine for a more gourmet international menu with Mediterranean influences. Trutz, a sister restaurant owned by Suvretta House, is also worth a visit for its views alone.

Alpetta
Positioned halfway down the Chastelets slope, Alpetta is a cosy hut serving tasty regional specialities. Delicacies include polenta baked in a huge pot, grilled venison and a variety of game dishes. Fresh fruit cakes are baked every day and the hot chocolate is divine. The interior is decorated in traditional Alpine style and there is a large terrace where you can soak up the sun.

Kuhstall
Located on the valley run to Sils, Kuhstall has been transformed from a former cowshed into a cosy and unique restaurant. Reached on skis or foot from the cable car, Kuhstall serves local specialities and has a spacious sun terrace to linger on when the weather is fine.

Badrutt's Palace
Where better to enjoy a spot of afternoon tea than in the opulent surroundings of the legendary Badrutt's Palace? Engiadina Innfall
Located on Lake St. Moritz at the Inn Falls, this traditional Swiss restaurant combines elegant rustic charm with a menu of exquisite local specialities including fondue, raclette and veal dishes.

Dal Mulin
“Wine, dine and feel fine” is the motto at this exquisite restaurant in the heart of St. Moritz. And with a fascinating wine list and splendid range of local dishes, you certainly will. On the menu is everything from sashimi and octopus to braised veal cheek and lamb chops.

Chesa Veglia
One of the most famous restaurants in St. Moritz, Chesa Veglia is located in a converted farmhouse in the centre of town. Owned by the prestigious Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, Chesa Veglia houses three restaurants and two bars within its ancient walls. Take your pick from Italian classics at Pizzeria Heuboden, Swiss specialities at Patrizier Stuben or grilled meat and fish at Grill Chadafö.

The View
New for the 2023/24 season, The View is St Moritz's newest addition to the Mediterranean culinary landscape. Located in Hotel Grace La Margna, the restaurant is open from 07:30 - 10:30 am for breakfast and 18:00 - 22:00 pm for dinner.

La Coupole - Matsuhisa
This signature Japanese-Peruvian restaurant from world-famous chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa is set in what was Europe's first indoor tennis hall at Badrutt's Palace. Try his signature dish: black cod with miso and yuzu.

Michelin-Star Restaurants in St Moritz

Ecco
If you don’t want to miss out on the pinnacle of St. Moritz’s gastronomic scene then a trip to Ecco at Hotel Giardino Mountain is a must. Open only for the winter season, chef Rolf Fliegauf has already earned two Michelin stars as well as 18 Gault Millau Points. The incredible white and gold interior is the perfect backdrop for a series of innovative dishes and the wine list is also extensive.

Da Vittorio
Stay at the Carlton Penthouse and dine at the Michelin-starred seasonal restaurant Da Vittorio is the creation of the Cerea brothers Enrico and Roberto, whose restaurant of the same name in the small Italian town of Brusaporto is rated as one of the best in the world. This is authentic Italian cuisine at its very finest with simple pasta dishes elevated to a whole new level.

Krone
If you're a fan of Italian cuisine, don't miss out on a visit to Krone. Chef, Samuel Carugati, combines the best of Italian and classical cuisine using high-quality produce. The charming dining space and attentive service make this a memorable gourmet experience.

The K by Mauro Colagreco
With one Michelin star to its name, this fine dining restaurant in the distinguished Klum Hotel is the perfect spot to indulge in sumptuous cuisine delivered by a professional and friendly team. We recommend opting for the surprise menu but there is the option to order à la carte.

Talvo by Dalsass
Located in Champfèr, a five-minute drive from St Moritz centre, Talvo by Dalsass delivers unfussy dishes that are full of flavor. Set in one of the oldest farmhouses in the Engadine dating back to 1658, this one-Michelin star restaurant is run by father-and-son duo Martin and Andrea Dalsass. Andrea is an ideal host with a passion for wine whilst Martin's philosophy is centred around quality ingredients, faithful implementation and the preservation of original flavours.

Best Après-Ski in St Moritz

Roo Bar
Just in front of the Hotel Hauser is a the genuine après-ski Roo Bar where old and young gather to sip on mulled wine, elderberry punch with vodka, cocktails, beer and hot chocolate laced with rum, accompanied by the beats of techno and hip hop from the resident DJ.

Pavarotti & Friends
This cosy wine and tapas bar situated in downtown St. Moritz is owned by Italian Deny Pavarotti. Surrounded by hundreds of bottles stacked to the ceiling, Pavarotti & Friends has a warm and welcoming ambiance with candlelit tables and a small menu of traditional Italian cuisine from pasta to polenta. The highlight though is the impressive wine cellar offering a great selection of wines and champagnes accompanied by fresh bread, parma ham and parmesan cheese.

Balthazar Bar
A great spot for an aperitif, Balthazar is a trendy bar and restaurant serving vintage wines, an exclusive selection of fine champagnes and a range of refined cocktails. You can also tap your toes along to live piano music during the evening.

Devil's Place
Paradise for whisky lovers, Devil’s Place houses over 2,500 different kinds of whiskey making it the largest selection in the world. Whilst mainly Scottish single malt whiskeys, there is also a variety of blended Irish whiskey and bourbon as well as other grain spirits from around the world. Next door is the “Smokers Room'' where you can select a cigar from an equally large assortment.

Best Nightlife in St Moritz

King's Social House
Said to be the oldest club in Switzerland, King’s Social House at Badrutt's Palace has had a complete makeover and relaunched in December 2018 in collaboration with Michelin-star chef and restaurateur Jason Atherton. A restaurant, bar and nightclub all in one, the “dine and dance” concept has proved popular with guests, who move from exquisite cuisine to buzzing nightlife as the evening progresses.

Dracula Club
Since 1974, Dracula Club has been a prime nightlife hotspot in St. Moritz. Situated in the five-star Kulm Hotel, this legendary nightclub is renowned for hosting the "highest jazz festival in Europe." Known for hosting the most exclusive parties in the Engadin, the Dracula accommodates just 150 guests and visitors must be known by life members to be admitted.
