Specialising in high-quality, focused and personalised ski coaching, The Development Centre (TDC) is best suited to accomplished skiers looking to hone their skills. Whilst they welcome all levels of skiers, The Development Centre’s ski clinics look to improve your technical skiing and understanding, tactical decision making and all-round mountain awareness.

TDC offers group ski lessons with a maximum of six skiers per group, private development lessons for individuals looking to fast track their skiing skills and off-piste ski lessons. For children aged 10 to 13, TDC runs “Devils Clinics” with a focus on piste performance, freestyle, jumps, racing and more. For 14 to 17 year olds there’s the TDCSki Academy Programme for those who can ski parallel on black runs.

Evolution 2 offers private lessons and courses for groups from beginner to advanced level skiers. However, their main strength is the array of alternative activities they offer. Ages 5 -12 can take part in the Mountain Yeti programme with four days of activities taking place from 2.00pm to 5.00pm - perfect for keeping your children occupied after a morning’s skiing. Activities include igloo building, a trapper experience, an orientation course and the “Savoyard Olympics”.

Evolution 2 can also organise everything from paragliding and ice driving to guided snowshoe hikes and e-biking in the snow.

The Ecole du Ski Francais (ESF) is the largest ski school in the world. ESF Val d’Isere has nearly 250 English speaking ski instructors offering group and private lessons for children over the age of three. The school's Piou Piou Club is the perfect place for young children to learn the basics in an interactive way. There are also a variety of styles of ski lessons available to teens and adults, from freestyle courses to off-piste snowboard lessons.

If you’re feeling adventurous then ESF also offers off-piste, ski touring and heli-skiing options too.

Mountain Masters - best for off-piste tuition

With innovative and forward-thinking instructors, Mountain Masters is one of Europe’s leading ski schools. They offer private lessons in skiing, telemarking and snowboarding and group lessons of up to six children per group for children and teenagers.

With Mountain Masters off-piste specialists you can sign up for the two day Steep and Deep Camp, taking in the steepest couloirs in the Espace Killy ski area, be led through the most beautiful off-piste and greatest mountain faces of the Haute Tarentaise on the Tarentaise Tour, try ski touring or enjoy a multi-day off-piste excursion around the Espace Killy, 3 Valleys and Paradiski ski area. Progression Ski & Snowboard School - best for group lessons

Set up in 2006, Progression has gone from strength to strength with friendly, professional and passionate teaching bringing out the best skiing you. They offer both private and group lessons as well as technical clinics taking in carving, bumps or off-piste skiing. Group lessons are fun and relaxed with a maximum only four people per group. Children receive a certificate, educational fun book, a badge and a video of themselves skiing during the week.

Progression also have a physiotherapy and massage team who are able to provide tailor-made treatments to suit your requirements.
