1. Whizz down a 4 km floodlit toboggan run at night

A fun activity for the whole family, St Anton’s floodlit toboggan run is open every Tuesday and Thursday evening in the winter. Beginning in Gampen,the route takes you past the Rodelhütte and on to the Rodelstall at Nasserein. With a vertical elevation of 500 metres, the 4 km course of twists and turns takes around 15 minutes to complete.

The toboggan run is free to use and toboggans can be hired at the Nassereinbahn for 9 euros (with a 20 euro refundable deposit).

2. Discover the Verwall Valley in a horse-drawn carriage

A joyful way to explore St Anton, escape the hustle and bustle of the resort, sit back and relax as your horse does the hard work. Accompanied by the jingling of sleigh bells as you make your way through the snowy landscape, this is an exciting activity to add to your romantic winter holiday. A 45 to 60-minute ride for four people starts at around EUR 100 and a further EUR 25 for each additional person. Rides can also be arranged individually according to visitors wishes.

3. Tackle the Arlberger Winter Climbing Trail

At 850 metres long, the Arlberger trail at Rendl is considered one of the most beautiful winter climbs in Tyrol. Suitable for those of average fitness, this via ferrata trail takes around two hours to complete and is accessed from behind the mountain station at the top of the Riffelbahn lifts (2,650m).

Some climbing experience is advised, as is booking one of the guides from a local ski school to accompany you. In addition to skis or a snowboard for the run to the valley, which is strapped onto your backpack during the climb, you will need via ferrata equipment as well as touring shoes.

4. See how high you can bounce at Arl.Park

A great activity for whiteout days, the new trampoline park at the arl.rock sports centre is equipped with 13 trampolines, a big jump and an air track. Conveniently located next to the train station, children and adults alike will have hours of fun seeing how high they can bounce. Prices start at 15 EUR per hour or EUR 20 for two hours.
