Skiing in Zurs
The village of Zurs is located within the Arlberg ski region, known as one of the largest interconnected ski areas in Austria and one of the five largest ski areas in the world offering over 305 km of downhill skiing served by 88 ski lifts. From the village itself, many of our luxury ski chalets in Zurs are located within a short walking distance of the Zürsersee chair which gives you access to a number of red runs as well as providing access to the different villages of the Ski Alberg region including neighbouring Lech.
With access to the snowsure Alberg ski area, skiers of all levels will be able to find suitable terrain for their level. Zurs itself is perfectly suited to beginners and intermediates whilst those looking for more challenging terrain can ski across to Lech or take a short bus ride to St Anton, both well known for their more challenging runs and fantastic off-piste.
For those looking for a challenge, many skiers aim to complete the White Ring ski tour. The White Ring at 22 km is the longest ski circuit in the world, linking Zürs with its neighbours, Lech, Zug and Oberlech. With an altitude difference of 5,000 metres, this exhilarating circuit attracts sporting enthusiasts from all over the world with its six lifts, ascents and five downhill runs. The most popular ski tour in Lech-Zürs, the White Ring is an incredible half-day experience which can be enjoyed by both confident learners and experienced skiers.
