Mountain retreat on the slopes of Courchevel 1850

Set in the Hameau de la Volière, Chalet Nanuq occupies a convenient position in the Chenus area of Courchevel 1850. The red Dou du Midi piste is around 50 metres away with ski-out access, giving confident skiers easy access down towards the Plantrey chairlift, while La Croisette and the centre of the resort are only a short drive away.

The chalet is arranged across five levels, with a lift and stairs connecting the floors. Inside, timber panelling, stone, patterned fabrics and carved details give the chalet plenty of character, while large windows bring in the valley views.

The main living room is generous and inviting, with deep sofas, a fireplace and direct access onto the balcony. Steps lead up to a separate dining room that has a more formal feel, while a sliding door allows the kitchen to be closed off, giving guests privacy from the chef during service.

Chalet Nanuq sleeps 12 guests across six en-suite bedrooms. The master bedroom is particularly spacious, with a private balcony, office area, minibar and en-suite bathroom. The remaining bedrooms are fixed doubles and arranged across the lower levels of the chalet,

The private spa includes an indoor pool, sauna, hammam, fitness area, massage room and bar/lounge space, giving plenty of ways to relax after skiing. There is also an outdoor Nordic tub on the terrace. For evenings indoors, the chalet has a cinema room with tiered seating and a separate playroom with a TV & Wii console & a children's mezzanine TV room.

Good to Know

Space & Layout:

Although Chalet Nanuq sleeps 12 guests, the main living areas are on the smaller side for a full house. The chalet feels more comfortable for around 8 to 10 guests, particularly when everyone is gathering in the living room, dining room or kitchen.

The bedrooms are all fixed doubles rather than twins, so the layout is less flexible for mixed groups who need twin-bed arrangements.
The lift does not serve the mezzanine level, which can only be reached by staircase. This area is best suited as a children’s hangout.

Location & Access

Chalet Nanuq is a luxury retreat in Courchevel 1850’s prestigious Chenus area, offering a ski-out experience.

Distance to Piste: Ski-out to the red Dou du Midi piste, which takes you down to the Plantrey chairlift or carries on down to the Tovets chairlift. You can return on skis down the same piste to within 70 metres of the chalet.
Distance to Ski Lifts: Short ski to Plantrey or Tovets, or 3-minute drive to main lift hub at La Croisette.
Distance to Courchevel 1850 Centre: 3-minute drive or 9-minute walk
