Spacious Alpine retreat in Meribel

Situated in the Mussillon area of Meribel, La Ferme de Mon Grand-Père is only a short walk from the centre and a quick drive from the main lift hub. Once the owner’s grandfather’s farm, the chalet still retains many of its original Savoyard features. Rough stone walls, old timber and more traditional detailing give it a warmer, more personal feel than many newer chalets of this size.

La Ferme de Mon Grand-Père works particularly well for larger groups, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. The main living room, with its open fireplace and bar, sits alongside a separate dining area with a cocktail bar and seating space, opening onto a furnished terrace.

Also on this level are a professional kitchen, a wine cave and a covered terrace.

There is plenty here for different age groups too. Younger children have a dedicated playroom with toys, games and a TV, while teenagers have a separate games room with billiards, table football, pinball, darts, a TV and various consoles. A modern cinema room with tiered seating adds another place to retreat to in the evenings.

The extensive spa is a major highlight of the chalet, with an indoor pool, adjoining hammam and relaxation area, as well as a massage room, infrared dome sauna, Jacuzzi and cardio machines.

The bedrooms are notably spacious and work well for mixed groups and families, with two family suites, two fixed doubles and four bedrooms that can be arranged as twins or doubles.

Other practical features include a large ski room with boot warmers and snacks, a small office and a lift.

Good to Know

Space & Layout:

The bedrooms are divided between east and west wings. It is worth noting that the five bedrooms in the east wing can only be reached by stairs, as the lift does not serve this side of the chalet.
Set under a sloping ceiling, the additional bed in the top-floor master suite is only suitable for children.

Location & Access:

The chalet is set on the main road into Méribel. While the majority of the chalet is quiet, some traffic noise can be heard in the lower living area. That said, previous guests have not raised this as an issue.
