Design-led chalet beside the Morel chairlift

Set just across the road from the Morel chairlift and the Hulotte piste, Chalet Le Grenier is one of Méribel’s most convenient chalets for larger groups who want to keep ski logistics simple. The position gives quick access to the mountain, while the slightly elevated setting offers panoramic views across the valley.

Designed by Nicky Dobree, the chalet has a refined alpine character with timber ceilings, stone, soft lighting and large panes of glass. The main living area sits below the entrance level and makes full use of the chalet’s outlook.

Triple-height windows draw the mountains into the room, while a central fireplace divides the sitting and dining areas. Deep sofas make this a comfortable place to gather after skiing, whilst the dining area sits close to the open kitchen, keeping evenings relaxed and sociable.

Wide glass doors open onto the south-facing terrace. With outdoor seating and uninterrupted mountain views, it provides a proper outdoor space for sunny lunches, pre-dinner drinks or a quiet coffee before heading off to the slopes.

There is also a separate family room and a library-style study with iMacs, useful for guests who need a place to work or for children wanting time away from the main room. One level above the entrance hall, the games room adds another informal space, with a snooker table, widescreen TV and comfortable seating.

Chalet Le Grenier sleeps 12 guests across six en-suite bedrooms. Two generous master suites include dressing areas, sofas and en-suite bathrooms, while the remaining four bedrooms can be arranged as twins or super-king doubles, giving useful flexibility for families or groups of friends.

The lower-ground spa is a true highlight. A large sunken Jacuzzi sits at the centre of the space, with a sauna, massage room and well-equipped gym alongside, providing an opportunity for both recovery and relaxation.

The chalet also has a wine cellar, ski room with boot warmers and a laundry room.

Distance to piste: Located just across the road (50 metres), a minute's walk from the bottom of the blue Hulotte piste
Distance to Ski Lifts: Located just across the road (50 metres) from the Morel chairlift, a minute's walk away. From the top of the chairlift, you can ski down the green Foret run to the blue Doron piste, which takes you directly to Meribel's main lift hub at La Chaudanne. Alternatively, it's a 5-minute drive to the main lift hub.
