Contemporary chalet above Morzine

Chalet Bisou is one of the more distinctive chalets in Morzine. From the outside, it looks like two separate chalets, but the lower levels are linked internally, which allows for a much wider, more expansive layout than you might expect. Set on the south-facing slope above the village, it enjoys uninterrupted views across the valley while remaining only a short drive from the centre.

Designed by Christophe Bondaz, the chalet moves away from the usual Alpine formula. Exposed architectural concrete runs throughout, but the house does not feel stark. The volume of the rooms, the amount of natural light and the softer furnishing choices give it plenty of warmth.

Nowhere is that clearer than in the main living space, where 360-degree views, a fireplace, a dining table for 14 and a modern kitchen with breakfast bar seating all come together in one striking room.

Seven sophisticated en-suite twin or double bedrooms are set across the third floor with deep carpets and richer textiles softening the concrete backdrop.

The wellness level is the chalet’s real centrepiece, with a 15-metre pool and sliding glass walls opening directly onto the terrace. Alongside it are a gym, treatment room and combined sauna and steam room, while an outdoor hot tub sits one level above on the terrace between the bedroom suites.

A pool table provides post-ski entertainment whilst the tiered cinema, complete with a high-spec surround sound system, gives guests another place to retreat to in the evening.

Space & Layout:

A concealed door off the kitchen leads to a separate back kitchen, allowing the chef to prepare meals without intruding on the main living space.
The chalet is arranged over four floors and connected by stairs only, with no lift access

The bedroom suites are split between the two wings of the chalet, linked by an outdoor walkway. To move between them, guests either need to step outside onto the terrace or go down a level and back up again.
Each of the bedrooms is generous in size, with its own balcony and open views, so there is no compromise when it comes to room allocation.

Location & Access

Bathed in sunshine all day, with panoramic views over Morzine, Chalet Bisou is a short drive from both main gondolas within the village and a 20-minute walk into the village centre via the suspension bridge.
