Alpine-inspired Val d'Isere retreat

For keen skiers, Chalet Face à Face is hard to beat. Set directly beside the piste in Legettaz, a sought-after, quiet residential area, it offers true ski-in/ski-out access and views across the village and slopes, while still being within easy reach of the centre of Val d’Isère.

Set over four floors plus a mezzanine, it's the main living area on the top floor that really stands out. With its cathedral-style ceiling, double-height windows, exposed beams and suspended fireplace, it forms a dramatic main entertaining space.

The dining area sits alongside, with the kitchen just beyond, whilst the views from the balcony make the most of the chalet's elevated position. Above the living area is a cosy mezzanine TV area with beanbags - and an ideal space for children and teens to hang out.

The six bedrooms are spread across the ground and first floors. Five are comfortable double or twin rooms, while the sixth is a quad bunk room for children. The master sits on the first floor with access to the terrace, and three of the bedrooms on this level open directly onto the terrace with a hot tub.

On the lower ground floor, the spa includes a compact indoor pool, steam shower, sauna and a massage and yoga area, alongside a dedicated cinema room. The chalet has further practical facilities, which include a laundry room and a garage with indoor parking for two cars.

1 double bedroom (master) with dressing area, en-suite bathroom (bathtub, separate shower, twin washbasins & WC) & access to terrace
2 twin/double bedrooms with en-suite shower room (shower, washbasin & independent WC) & access to terrace
1 quad bunk room (sleeps 4) with en-suite shower room (shower & washbasin)

Level 0:

Good to Know

Location & Access:

The ski-in/ski-out access is excellent. A short traverse links you to a blue run leading to the Legettaz button lift. This joins the red Santons piste, which continues down to the main lift hub. As such, it is better suited to confident skiers.
The chalet is arranged over multiple levels and does not have lift access, so it would not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Design & Style:

The décor has a strong alpine theme, with antlers and hides featured throughout. This gives the chalet more of a hunting lodge feel.

Space & Layout:

The bunk room is compact and best suited to children. Access to the top bunks would not be suitable for younger children.

Wellness & Facilities:

The wellness area has everything most guests will need, though the pool is fairly compact and better suited to relaxing than swimming lengths.
The hot tub can only be reached via the three first-floor bedrooms
The massage/fitness area sits within the same space as the sauna, so it does not offer the same level of privacy as a separate treatment room would.

Chalet Face à Face is located in the Le Legettaz area of Val d'Isère with ski-in/ski-out access.

Distance to Piste: Ski-in/ski-out down blue piste to Legettaz button lift or continue onto the Santons red piste, which leads to the main village lift hub.
Distance to Ski Lifts: Short ski, 4-minute drive or 15-minute walk to main lift hub (Solaise & Bellevarde lifts)
Distance to Val d'Isere Centre: 3-minute drive or 15-minute walk
