Chalet Le Papillon sits at the foot of the slopes, just a few minutes' walk from both the main snowfront and the centre of Val d’Isere.
Inside, the chalet combines contemporary design with traditional Alpine materials. The main living and dining room is bright and open, with large windows, a stone fireplace and doors opening onto a broad balcony.
Sofas and leather armchairs are arranged around the fire, while a steep staircase leads up to a cosy mezzanine TV area, ideal for teenagers wanting their own space. The separate kitchen is generously sized and well-equipped.
The bedroom layout is particularly practical for families. There are three double bedrooms of a similar size, along with a family suite made up of a double bedroom and an adjoining bunk room.
One of the main attractions is the spa, which includes a heated pool with jets, a modern hammam and enough space around the pool to sit and relax properly. Other facilities include a ski room with boot warmers.

Good to Know
Space & Layout:
- The ski room is fairly compact, with limited seating, so larger groups may need to stagger getting ready in the morning.
- The steps up to the mezzanine are steep and open on one side, with a fairly low ceiling once you are up there, so it is best suited to older children and teenagers.
Suitability for Large Groups:
- Le Papillon can be rented with adjacent chalet, La Face, to sleep up to 20 guests.
