Set at the top of a private road, Chalet Le Rocher has a more secluded feel than many chalets this close to the centre. The village and main lift hub are both around a five-minute walk away, so it gives you privacy without sacrificing convenience.
The chalet extends across four levels, all served by a lift, and the main living room occupies the upper floor. With ancient beams, a double-height vaulted ceiling, a striking fireplace and a private bar, this space is particularly impressive. The room is large enough for everyone to gather comfortably, while the windows and terrace make the most of the mountain views.
The seven en-suite bedrooms are predominantly arranged as twin/doubles, with one fixed double, and feature reclaimed Mongolian wood and intricate detailing throughout. The top-floor master suite is particularly generous, with dressing rooms, a seating area and balcony access, while one of the lower-level suites stands out for the natural rock face running through the bathroom.
The spa is one of Le Rocher’s standout features. A 7 x 4 metre indoor pool with jet stream sits alongside a sauna, hot tub and rock-walled massage room. A projector screen within the spa adds another memorable detail, while the ground floor also includes a separate children’s LEGO playroom, a heated ski room with boot warmers and a garage.
