Chalet Les Ours

Stylish mountain home in Val d'Isere.

High above Le Fornet, Chalet Les Ours brings together Chalets Orca and Orso to create one of the largest private chalets in Val d’Isère. The two chalets are linked internally, giving guests 940m² of living space in a setting surrounded by pine trees, with wide views across the hamlet and the mountains beyond. The slopes are close by, with the Mangard blue piste and Le Fornet gondola just a short walk away.

Ancient wood, stone and traditional alpine materials run throughout, softened by large glass bay windows that draw in the light and connect both chalets to the landscape. Each side has its own open-plan living room, with mountain views, wood-burning fireplace and generous space to gather.

In Orso, the large dining table seats up to 20 guests, making it the natural setting for long dinners together, while both chalets have mezzanine games areas that add more social space to gather.

Between them, the two chalets offer 10 en-suite bedrooms, sleeping up to 27 guests. There are eight king-size bedrooms in total, alongside two children’s rooms arranged with a combination of doubles and bunks. Several of the bedrooms have balconies, and the master suites stand out for their fireplaces, dressing areas and more spacious bathrooms.

Wellness is a big focus at Chalet Les Ours with two separate spa areas, each with its own indoor pool, Jacuzzi, hammam and sauna, as well as two fitness areas. Outside is a heated Nordic tub and barrel sauna, as well as expansive terraces with fire pits.

Les Ours is also very well set up for larger groups in practical terms, with two ski rooms, garage parking, laundry facilities and private drivers for the two chalets

Good to Know

Location & Access:

Due to the steep driveway and the lack of a pedestrian path on the main road, walking from the chalet is not recommended. However, the chalet drivers are happy to take you anywhere in the resort.

Space & Layout:

There is an additional bedroom, ideal for a nanny, private staff member or personal security, allowing even greater flexibility for families and private groups.

Location & Access

Chalet Les Ours is nestled in the elevated hamlet of Le Fornet, just a short walk from the slopes. The vibrant centre of Val d'Isere, with its range of shops, restaurants and bars, is a quick drive away. Additional dining options are available at the base of the Fornet gondola.
