Panoramic views in Le Fornet

Set high above Le Fornet, Chalet Orca enjoys some of the best views in this part of Val d’Isère, looking across the old village and surrounding peaks. Le Fornet itself has a quieter, more local feel than the centre, while the gondola is only a short drive away.

Arranged over four floors plus a mezzanine, the chalet combines old wood, leather and stone with a more modern interior style. The main living room is framed by striking diamond-shaped windows that open up 180-degree views, while a three-sided fireplace and old timber bar give the space warmth and character.

Above, the mezzanine adds another area to retreat to with a pool table, bar and TV overlooking the living room below.

The bedroom layout is particularly practical for families. Four en-suite bedrooms sit on the first floor, including the master suite with its freestanding bath, Italian shower and views over Le Fornet, while the fifth bedroom on the ground floor is arranged for children with two double beds and bunks. Most of the bedrooms open onto the south-facing balcony, with stunning views across Le Fornet and the mountains beyond.

On the lower level, the wellness area includes an indoor pool, a stone Jacuzzi with tiled armchairs, a hammam, sauna and fitness space, giving guests ample opportunity to unwind after skiing. A ski room, lift, garage and wine cellar complete the impressive list of facilities.

Good to Know

Location & Access:

Due to the steep driveway and the lack of a pedestrian path on the main road, walking from the chalet is not recommended. However, the chalet drivers are happy to take you anywhere in the resort.

Suitability for Groups:

Chalet Orca can be combined with Chalet Orso via internal connecting doors in the living room to create Chalet Les Ours, accommodating up to 27 guests across 10 bedrooms.

Chalet Orca is nestled in the elevated hamlet of Le Fornet, just a short drive from the slopes. The vibrant centre of Val d'Isere, with its range of shops, restaurants and bars, is a quick drive away. Additional dining options are available at the base of the Fornet gondola.
