Chalet Les Ours

Stylish mountain home in Val d'Isere.

Situated at the highest point of Le Fornet, Chalet Les Ours combines two chalets - Orca and Orso. Ideally located just a stone's throw from the slopes (the Mangard blue piste is just 200m away), the exclusive chalets are surrounded by pine trees and have incredible mountain views. Composed of ancient wood and stone, the interior is stylish and inviting, blending traditional materials with contemporary furnishings.

With jaw-dropping views, and welcoming wood-burning fireplaces inviting you in after a chilly day on the mountain, guests have two stunning open-plan living areas to enjoy. The large dining table in the Orso lounge seats up to 20 guests and is the perfect setting for a lively dinner party.

Above both living rooms are mezzanine games rooms, one with a pool table and TV; the other with table football, a pinball machine, an authentic jukebox with vinyl records and a 55" TV with games console.

Doors open onto the terrace which is equipped with a Nordic bath - perfect for unwinding after a day's skiing.

Chalet Les Ours is home to two stunning spa areas with indoor pools, jacuzzis and hammams. You will also find indoor and outdoor saunas and two gyms as well as two custom-designed wine cellars. Other features include two ski rooms, a garage, laundry room and fibre broadband.

There are 10 bedrooms in total at Chalet Les Ours, accommodating 16 adults and 11 children. The master suites feature ethanol fireplaces and free-standing bathtubs. There are also two children's bedrooms with bunk beds. All of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and several have balconies with panoramic views.

Location

Chalet Les Ours is nestled in the elevated hamlet of Le Fornet, just a short walk from the slopes. The vibrant centre of Val d'Isere, with its range of shops, restaurants and bars, is a quick drive away. Additional dining options are available at the base of the Fornet gondola.

Distance to Ski Lifts: 4-minute walk/2-minute drive to Le Fornet gondola or 6-minute drive to village ski lifts (Solaise & Bellevarde)
Distance to Val d'Isere Centre: 6-minute drive

Insider Insights

Location & Access:

Due to the steep driveway and the lack of a pedestrian path on the main road, walking from the chalet is not recommended. However, the chalet drivers are happy to take you anywhere in the resort.

Space & Layout:

There is an additional bedroom, ideal for a nanny, private staff member or personal security, allowing even greater flexibility for families and private groups.
