Kitzbühel has its own train station, making train travel a convenient and sustainable option. From the airport, you can take a train directly to Kitzbühel, with some services requiring a transfer at a larger station like Wörgl or Kufstein.

If you're driving, the route to Kitzbühel is well-signposted, and the roads are generally well-maintained during the winter season. Depending on where you're coming from, the most common route from Germany is via the A12 Autobahn towards Kufstein, then onto the B170 towards Kitzbühel. Winter tyres are required by law in Austria during the winter months, and it's wise to have snow chains if you're driving in snowy conditions.
