Where to Stay in La Tzoumaz

La Tzoumaz is located in the canton of Valais in Switzerland, perched on the north-facing slopes of the Rhône Valley. It lies directly opposite Verbier, on the other side of the mountain. The gondola from La Tzoumaz to the top of Savoleyres takes around eight minutes, with the added advantage of bypassing the lift queues in Verbier. From here, you can reach Le Carrefour and the rest of Verbier’s ski area in a further eight minutes.

With around 300 to 400 permanent residents, La Tzoumaz in Switzerland is a small town acting as an excellent gateway to the vast ski area.

What Sets La Tzoumaz Apart?

The Ski Area:

La Tzoumaz ski resort is part of the 4 Vallees, one of the largest interconnected ski areas in Europe linking La Tzoumaz to Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon. The local ski area of La Tzoumaz-Savoleyres offers 55 km of pistes and with north-facing slopes, usually enjoys a long season from early December through to late April.

La Tzoumaz prides itself on being a family-oriented resort. In addition to the gentle ski slopes and ski schools, the resort has a snow garden for young children to learn the basics of skiing in a safe environment.

La Tzoumaz is easily reached by road or rail. The nearest airport is Geneva, around two hours away, with transfers available directly to your La Tzoumaz chalet rental. Drivers can take the A9 motorway to Riddes, then follow the mountain road up to the resort in around 20 minutes.
