Place Centrale is Verbier’s central hub and home to many shops, bars and restaurants. It is just 500 metres from the main lift station, Medran, where the relatively new Place Blanche development is located. For those looking to have direct access to the bustling resort centre, the luxury apartments and chalets in Verbier provide the perfect holiday base.
Areas such as the Swedish Quarter, Patier, Sonalon and Savoleyres house some of the larger luxury chalets in Verbier. Linked to the 4 Vallees, Verbier is famous for its off-piste skiing and mogul fields. As part of the 4 Vallees, skiing in Verbier means visitors can enjoy part of Switzerland’s largest ski area with 410 km of incredible pistes to explore. One of the top ski areas for advanced skiers, Verbier skiing is full of thrills both on and off piste.
Intermediate skiers in Verbier can enjoy the gentle sunny bowl of La Chaux or the fantastic network of red runs surrounding Les Attelas, whilst beginner skiers in Verbier can practise their technique on the accessible nursery slopes. A mecca for off-piste skiing, advanced skiers can make the most of the challenging skiing centres around Mont Fort with a steep kilometre-long, often bumpy, black run from the top down to Gentianes-Tortin.
