Chalet L’Orée occupies its own stretch of hillside above Les Allues, with the garden and forest descending towards a stream. The setting feels removed from Méribel’s busier centre, yet the Olympe 2 gondola is an eight-minute walk away and the resort’s main lift stations can be reached within 10 minutes by car.
Inside, raw timber beams are paired with contemporary furnishings. The open-plan sitting, dining and kitchen area gives everyone room to spend time together, whether relaxing by the fireplace, reading in the window seat or gathering around the dining table.
The kitchen has a central island with a breakfast bar, while windows look out over the surrounding forest.
Five en-suite double bedrooms accommodate up to 10 people. All have fixed double beds and several open onto a balcony or terrace.
Outside, a terrace built into the hillside has dining space and built-in seating around a fire pit. After skiing, the lower-floor spa has an indoor swimming pool with a viewing window, a traditional hammam and a fully equipped gym.
