Luxury Chalets Dolomites

With world class skiing, boutique spas, a flourishing food scene and a superb collection of luxury chalets, the Dolomites is an Italian hot spot not to be missed.

Located at a crossroads between Italy to the south and Tyrol to the North, the Dolomites are both geographically and culturally diverse. Part of the Alps, this UNESCO World Heritage site covers five different provinces (within three regions) in northeastern Italy. Though the Dolomites have almost exclusively belonged to Italy since World War I, the culture remains a blend of Tyrolean, Rhaeto Roman and Italian influences. The cuisine incorporates both Italian and German heritage whilst the Ladin language and culture, known for woodcarving and toy making, has also been meticulously preserved.

With 12 interconnected resorts and 1,200km of slopes, it comes as no surprise that the Dolomites is particularly popular in the winter months. From cross-country skiing and sledging to winter walking, skating and snowshoeing, there are numerous activities on offer. However, the area also comes alive in summer with hiking, biking and wellness. With jagged peaks and rosy hues, there is no better backdrop to a luxury holiday than the Dolomites.

Luxury accommodation in one of the largest ski networks in the world.

The Dolomites have numerous valleys and resorts worth exploring. Whether you prefer the chic town of Cortina d’Ampezzo, the fine food of Alta Badia, the superb ski terrain in Kronplatz or the family-friendly resort of Val Gardena, there is something to suit everyone. The Dolomite ski area is especially good for families, beginners and intermediates and there is some excellent off-piste skiing for the more adventurous. Ski touring is big in the Dolomites, with the Sella Ronda being the most famous route. This circular route leads round the mighty Sella massif, offering 26 km of downhill trails in a single day.

We have a number of luxury chalets available to rent in the Dolomites. One of our favourites is Casa Feroze, a beautifully designed, stand-alone chalet in the centre of Colfosco, Alta Badia. For a stylish chalet close to the slopes and with a stunning spa, we recommend Pine Lodge in Val Gardena. For larger groups, LV01 and LV02 in Cortina are ideal.
