Luxury Ski Holidays in Les Arcs
Part of the vast Paradiski ski area, Les Arcs brings together five villages located at different altitudes (Arc 2000, Arc 1950, Arc 1800, Arc 1600 & Bourg-Saint-Maurice). Built in the 1960s and 70s, this purpose-built resort is easily accessed from the airports of Chambery (125 km), Geneva (202 km), Lyon (205 km) & Grenoble (106 km). Linked to La Plagne, Les Arcs offers 425 km of slopes with something for everyone, whether you're an expert or clicking into your skis for the first time.
Each village offers something different, but for convenience, we recommend staying in Arc 1800. From here, a single lift takes you to Col de la Chal, where one run gets you to the Aiguille Rouge lifts or to Plan-Peisey. It also has the best amenities, notably the excellent Mille 8 complex. This leisure area includes a pool and spa, three ski sections dedicated to different levels of ability, and a purpose-built luge run.

Arc 1800 has an excellent beginners' area with three zones focusing on 'first slides', 'first turns' and 'first descents.'
All villages have access to plenty of intermediate cruising on blue and red runs. Experts will want to head to the steep blacks above Arc 2000 or head off piste around the Grand Col and Col de la Chal.
Each village has a good selection of bars and restaurants, with the majority being ski-in/ski-out. Fans of the Folie Douce will be delighted to find one on the slopes of Les Arcs and there are several other lively bars too. The resort is well-known for its good value accommodation and new luxury chalets in Les Arcs are appearing year on year. The resort is renowned for its ski-in/ski-out convenience, making it a great option if you like to be first on the slopes in the morning.
