Contemporary Chalet in Lavancher

Set in the peaceful hamlet of Lavancher, Chalet Alta offers a private base between Chamonix and Argentière, with views across the surrounding peaks and easy access to the valley’s main ski areas. Grands Montets is just a short drive away, while Flégère and Brévent can also be reached quickly by car or local bus.

The chalet covers 480m² across three floors, with interiors that combine alpine materials, soft furnishings and a more contemporary finish. On the ground floor, the main living and dining space is arranged around a central fireplace, with deep sofas, a solid oak dining table and a bar tucked just behind the sitting area. The kitchen is separate and well-equipped for catering for a large group.

Large windows and balcony access bring in the mountain views.

Chalet Alta sleeps up to 10 adults and four children across six bedrooms. There are five double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and private balconies, several with mountain views, along with a four-bed children’s bunk room on the lower ground floor.

On the ground floor, there is an indoor-outdoor swimming pool with hydropool jets and full-height glazing, giving guests a place to unwind after skiing. The lower ground floor is dedicated to wellness and entertainment. Here, guests will find a sauna, steam room, gym with Sonos sound system and a cinema room with comfortable sofas. A large garage and heated ski and boot room add practical convenience.

Location & Access

Chalet Alta is nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Lavancher, offering a serene retreat with convenient access to Chamonix's ski areas. Grands Montets and La Flégère are just a six to seven-minute drive away, and for the more adventurous, ski access back to the chalet is possible through the surrounding woodland, though only with a guide. Chamonix town centre, a 10-minute drive away, boasts a lively atmosphere with a fantastic selection of shops, bars, and restaurants.
