Family-friendly chalet with outdoor pool

Set on a sunny plateau at one end of Morzine, The Bungo has a quiet residential feel while still being within reach of the village centre. The walk into town is largely flat and takes around 15 to 20 minutes, with the Super Morzine and Pléney lifts a short drive away.

The chalet was designed by Ali Hearn Studios, the same studio behind Chalet Mont des Anges, and has a relaxed but highly finished feel throughout. The main living and dining area is open, sociable and designed for groups to gather comfortably, with curved sofas arranged around the fireplace and direct access onto the furnished decking outside. The kitchen is separate from the main living area and is well equipped for catered service.

Below, the bar is one of the chalet’s most memorable spaces. With generous seating, a long island, wine storage, ice machine and beer tap, it works equally well for après-ski drinks in winter or summer evenings with the bi-fold doors open to the garden.

The Bungo sleeps up to 14 guests across six bedrooms, with the option of two additional guests on the cinema room sofa bed. Most bedrooms can be configured as doubles or twins, giving the chalet flexibility for different group types. Bedroom three is especially spacious and works well as a family room, with a king-size double/twin bed and two built-in upper beds accessed by ladder.

Outside, the heated swimming pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, barbecue, pizza oven and fire pit make the garden a central part of the chalet. There is also children’s play equipment, including a climbing wall and swings, tucked behind the outdoor kitchen area.

For evenings in, guests have a cinema room with projector screen, while the gym, equipped with a rowing machine, exercise bike, treadmill and freeweights, and a ski room with boot warmers, sit separately alongside the chalet.

Good to Know

Space & Layout:

The sofa bed in the home cinema room on the lower level can be set up as a double bed to allow for two extra guests. There are glass sliding doors and curtains to separate it from the bar area.
There is exterior parking for four cars and a 7kW EV charger. The garage is locked for the owners’ personal use.
The gym and ski room are separate from the main chalet and sit alongside the property.

Wellness & Facilities:

The pool has a lockable cover, adding an extra layer of security for families with younger children. The cover can support up to 120kg, although guests should not allow children to play on it.

Location & Access

The Bungo is located on Pied de la Plagne with a bus stop just across from the chalet, a short drive from the ski lifts and town centre.

Distance to the Ski Lifts: 6-minute drive to the Super Morzine cable car & Pléney gondola.
Distance to Morzine Centre: 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk along the pavement. In summer you can take the scenic route along the river.
