Set in a quiet area of Val d'Isere, Chalet Mathilda is ideally located only a short walk from the centre and the main lift hub.
Inside, the chalet blends traditional Savoyard materials with a more contemporary finish. The main living room is bright and open, with floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed timber beams and a large stone fireplace at its centre.
It is a comfortable and relaxed space to come back to after skiing, with a terrace leading off it. The dining table seats 12, while the separate kitchen opens onto a balcony with one of the best views from the chalet, looking over Val d’Isère towards the mountains beyond.
The six bedrooms are all en-suite and can be arranged as doubles or twins, which gives the chalet useful flexibility for different group make-ups.
Another highlight is the private spa, which includes an indoor pool and hammam.

Location & Access:
- The location is a real advantage, with both the centre and the ski lifts within walking distance. That convenience does, however, mean the views are partly interrupted by neighbouring chalets.
Space & Layout:
- The bedrooms are not all equal in size, with three noticeably larger than the others, so it is worth bearing that in mind when allocating rooms.
Design & Style:
- The chalet feels a little more lived-in than some of the newer properties in the portfolio, which adds to its relaxed, homely feel.
Wellness & Facilities:
- The spa is a lovely place to unwind after skiing, though the pool is better suited to relaxing than swimming lengths.
