From mountain lunches and Valaisan favourites to Michelin-starred dinners, here is where to eat and drink in Crans-Montana.

Crans-Montana's restaurants are spread across the pistes, the resort and the villages below it. You can eat lunch at a mountain refuge, book one of the resort's two Michelin-starred tables for dinner, or settle in for fondue and a bottle of Valais wine. Japanese and Levantine restaurants add to the choice, while the bars range from slope-side terraces to small wine bars in town. These are the places we would consider when planning a stay.

Mountain restaurants

Cabane des Violettes

At 2,208m, this historic refuge is led by Michelin-starred chef Franck Reynaud, who ski-tours up each morning to oversee the kitchen personally. The menu at Cabane des Violettes celebrates authentic Alpine flavours, using locally sourced ingredients that shine in every dish. With panoramic views and a chef’s personal touch, it’s a must for an unforgettable mountain lunch.

Chetzeron

Set in a converted gondola station at 2,112m, Chetzeron blends striking modern architecture with seasonal Alpine cuisine. Dine on a sunny terrace or enjoy fondue indoors while gazing out at endless mountain panoramas through floor-to-ceiling windows. After the lifts close, non-residents can return for a three-course dinner, with transport up the mountain included

Mayen de la Cure

A traditional mountain chalet overlooking the Alps and Rhône Valley, Mayen de la Cure offers a warm, wood-panelled dining room and a menu of Valaisan classics served with Alpine charm. Open in both winter and summer seasons, it’s popular for lunch and highly sought-after for its intimate, reservation-only dinners.

Michelin-star restaurants

L’Ours

The wood-lined dining room at L’Ours, inside the Hostellerie du Pas de l’Ours, is the setting for Franck Reynaud’s seasonal tasting menus. He draws on produce from the Valais without confining the cooking to familiar mountain dishes. With one Michelin star and 18 Gault&Millau points, this is the resort’s most decorated table.

LeMontBlanc

High above the centre of Crans-Montana at LeCrans hotel, LeMontBlanc has a panoramic dining room and one Michelin star. Chef Yannick Crepaux’s tasting menus draw on seasonal ingredients, with the mountain views providing a striking backdrop to dinner.

Bistros & brasseries

La Maison Crans-Montana

Across from the Severiano Ballesteros golf course, La Maison occupies a 19th-century house with a terrace looking towards the fairways. Its Mediterranean-influenced brasserie menu is overseen by Quentin Philippe, chef of the Michelin-starred Arakel in Geneva. La Maison earned 14 points in the 2026 Gault&Millau guide, making it one of the more interesting recent arrivals in Crans.

Le Partage

Sharing is central to Le Partage at Aïda Hôtel & Spa. Chef Gioele Marzola leads the kitchen, with Franck Reynaud curating an Italian-influenced menu. Spiced chicken, oregano-seasoned lamb and Sardinian-style suckling pig come from the rotisserie, served with roast potatoes. Please note, larger dishes require 24 hours’ notice.

Le Bistrot des Ours

Franck Reynaud’s second restaurant at the Hostellerie du Pas de l’Ours, Le Bistrot des Ours, takes a more informal approach than the Michelin-starred L’Ours. Seasonal Valais produce sits at the heart of its bistro cooking, which earned 14 Gault&Millau points in the 2026 guide.

Le Mayen

The Bonvin Clivaz family has welcomed guests to Le Mayen since 1968. In the centre of Montana, the restaurant keeps Valaisan cooking and regional wines firmly in view, from raclette to changing daily dishes. Its carnotzet, a traditional private dining room, offers a smaller setting for a meal with family or friends.

CaSy

Caroline Ogi and chef Sylvain Stefanazzi Ogi run CaSy on Rue Louis-Antille. The restaurant brings together the couple’s interest in food and wine, with a cellar and the adjoining EaSy bar. Sylvain’s cooking earned 13 points in the 2026 Gault&Millau guide.

Mosaic

At Mosaic, the open kitchen brings the chefs into view, while cuts of meat and bottles of wine are displayed in the dining room. Its changing brasserie menu moves between local dishes and influences from further afield. The emphasis is on the kitchen’s cooking and the produce of the season.

Wild Cabin

The all-day brasserie at Six Senses Crans-Montana, Wild Cabin serves locally sourced meat, fish and vegetables in generous sharing dishes. Wood-fired cooking features at lunch, and the large terrace sits among the trees beside the ski area. The restaurant also serves dinner and a Sunday brunch.

Le Continental

Sandra and Paul Da Silva-Clivaz run Le Continental, tucked inside a gallery off Rue du Pas-de-l’Ours. The kitchen changes its menu with the seasons, with a three-course set lunch during the week. Its south-facing terrace offers a different setting from the larger hotel dining rooms.

Le Lounge

The Alpine brasserie at Crans Ambassador, Le Lounge serves local specialities alongside international dishes and changing set menus. There is plenty of time to enjoy the mountain views over lunch, while Sunday brings a buffet brunch.

Gueuleton

Meat takes centre stage at Gueuleton on Rue du Pas-de-l’Ours. Dry-aged côte de bœuf and grilled tomahawk sit alongside artisan charcuterie, Swiss cheeses and dishes to share, with Valais wines well represented on the list. The open kitchen and timber-lined dining room make it an enjoyable place for a long dinner with friends.

14 Cors Bistro

The journey down to Bluche brings you to 14 Cors, chef Ciro’s Italian bistro. Pasta, veal with lemon and fritto misto share the menu with sea bass baked in salt for two, prepared by advance order. In warmer weather, tables on the terrace look out across the Rhône Valley.

International cuisine

FIVE

Levantine cooking is the focus at FIVE, inside Guarda Golf Hotel & Residences. Aegean and Levantine mezze arrive for the table before Mediterranean-style grilled fish and meat.

La Muña

Japanese and Peruvian flavours meet at La Muña, the dinner restaurant at Crans Ambassador. Its sharing menu brings seafood together with citrus, spice and the techniques of Nikkei cooking, served against a backdrop of Alpine views.

Byakko

At Six Senses Crans-Montana, Byakko gives Japanese ingredients and techniques a place in the Alps. Carefully handled fish, balanced sushi rice, sake pairings and tea rituals shape the dinner experience. The restaurant opens seasonally, including from December to March in winter.

Kaizen

Chef Miguel de Vega’s Kaizen has an extensive Japanese menu, from sashimi and tempura to nigiri topped with wagyu or caviar. A tasting menu can also be composed around a table’s preferences. The breadth of the à la carte menu makes it tempting to order several plates to share.

Edo

Edo has served Japanese food in Bluche since 2005 and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Sushi and sashimi are prepared to order, while sukiyaki offers something warming after a day outdoors. Its funamori, a boat filled with sushi and sashimi, is prepared by advance reservation. The restaurant lies a short journey below Crans-Montana.

Restaurant Madriz

Near Lake Grenon, Restaurant Madriz has taken its Spanish roots in a broader direction under chef Jhonny Setjo. Croquetas and paella sit alongside dishes with Asian and Indonesian influences, including tom yum and rendang.

Après-ski & bars

From Champagne-fuelled soirées to sunlit mountain terraces, Crans-Montana’s après-ski scene has something for every mood. Whether you want to start early on the slopes or dance into the small hours, these venues guarantee a memorable end to your ski day.

On the Mountain:

Cry d’Er Club d’Altitude

At 2,200m, Cry d’Er is one of the Alps’ few true mountaintop party spots. Live music and a buzzing terrace from 2–4 pm make for unforgettable après before the gondola ride down.

Zerodix

At the foot of the Crans–Cry d’Er gondola, Zerodix catches skiers as they return to resort. The restaurant, bar and terrace make it as suitable for a late lunch as a drink after the last run. Music events add to the atmosphere on selected days.

In Town:

EaSy by CaSy

Beside the CaSy restaurant on Rue Louis-Antille, EaSy by CaSy is the group’s bar for an aperitif or a drink after dinner. Cocktails and wines take the place of a full restaurant meal here, with CaSy’s dining room and cellar next door.

Le Tirbouchon

For a glass of petite arvine or syrah from a local producer, Le Tirbouchon has a changing selection devoted to Valais wines. Bottles and wines by the glass can be accompanied by local platters.

Ora Bar & Lounge

On the fifth level of Six Senses Crans-Montana, Ora Bar & Lounge serves cocktails and small plates throughout the day. In the evening, DJs bring the music.

Monk’is Bar

Monk’is on Place des Charmettes begins the evening as a lounge bar and makes room for dancing later on. It has been part of Crans-Montana’s nightlife for more than two decades, with themed nights and a terrace when the weather allows.

La Ferme Saint Amour

La Ferme Saint Amour is a glamorous mix of restaurant, nightclub, and live entertainment, with a Champagne list that includes Cristal, Dom Pérignon, and Krug. Michelin-starred dishes from Eric Frechon complete the indulgence.
