Lac des Chavonnes

Villars-sur-Ollon has an incredible array of rustic mountain restaurants all located close to the ski slopes of Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets. Named after the lake the restaurant overlooks, restaurant du Lac des Chavonnes incorporates local produce into dishes including forest mushrooms and trout meunière caught from the Lac des Chavonnes. With beautiful views across the lake, this charming restaurant can be accessed via the ski slope or on foot from the small Bex-Villars-Bretaye train.

Auberge du Col de Soud
Featuring a welcoming sunny terrace, Auberge du Col de Soud is another great option for those looking to try terroir dishes followed by home-made desserts. Using both regional and seasonal products for their dishes, the rösti is particularly popular with visiting diners.

L’Etable
For an alternative mountain restaurant dining experience, diners at L’Etable will be accompanied by farm animals on the other side of a glass wall division. Guests are seated in a beautifully transformed stables and can enjoy variations of terroir dishes including mushroom cassoulet with rösti, roast ham with honey from the Alps, as well as favourite traditional Swiss dishes such as fondue moitié-moitié and croûte au fromage.

Mamma Lotta’s
For those looking for more central dining, Villars-sur-Ollon offers a variety of restaurants in the resort centre. For fans of Italian cuisine, Mamma Lotta’s is a must. Providing a charming traditional atmosphere, this restaurant has a large selection of Italian dishes, including Pizzas, fresh fish and meat.

Saskia's
Located at Les Mazots du Clos luxury hotel, Saskia's is led by Executive Chef Marco Cardoso. The menu is designed for sharing with dishes influenced by global flavours and seasonal ingredients. Expect a varied selection, from Korean-style fried cauliflower and roasted miso aubergine to steamed mussels in Thai coconut broth, beef tataki, confit duck pappardelle and warm madeleines with crème anglaise. It is a great choice for a sociable dinner, particularly for those who prefer to order several plates for the table.

Villar’s Jazz bar and the Mazots du Clos lounge bar, also known as the “Villars Vanguard'' are popular spots for apres-ski. Enjoy a wide range of cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere in Villar’s Jazz bar open from 5pm onwards or catch up with friends over a glass of exquisite wine or malt whisky in the lounge bar of Les Mazots du Clos.

Popular with locals and holidaymakers alike, Charlie’s Bar in the heart of Villars-sur-Ollon can be found located above The Chalet Suisse restaurant. Here you can enjoy organised themed evenings to keep you entertained until 2 am with cocktails and live DJ evenings too.
