Who This Chalet Suits
Chalet Zermatt Peak is best suited to families or groups of adults looking for one of Zermatt’s most high-profile private chalets, with dramatic views, full service and a very central yet private position above the village. It works particularly well for guests who value design, dining and wellness as much as skiing, and for mixed groups where non-skiers want an impressive chalet to enjoy during the day.
Property Tour & Rooms
The peak of luxury in Zermatt
Set into the mountainside above the centre of Zermatt, Chalet Zermatt Peak is one of the resort’s most recognisable private chalets. Access is discreet, via a tunnel entrance, while the elevated position gives the chalet far-reaching views over the village and towards the Matterhorn.
Arranged across six floors, the chalet combines glass, wood, stone and Italian marble to create a bold, contemporary mountain home. The main living and dining floor makes the most of the view, with floor-to-ceiling windows, a double-height timber ceiling and a large fireplace. The sitting area is designed for gathering after skiing, while the dining table seats up to 12 guests.
The living area opens onto a wraparound terrace, where an all-weather outdoor kitchen makes alfresco dining possible throughout the year. There is also an office/library on this level, giving guests a quieter space to read, work or watch TV away from the main room.
Chalet Zermatt Peak sleeps up to 10 adults and three children across five individually designed double bedrooms. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, a seating or dressing area, and access to a private terrace or balcony. The master suite includes a walk-in wardrobe and private Jacuzzi bath, while the Gallery suite has a glass roof for stargazing.
A dedicated spa floor includes an indoor Jacuzzi that opens to the outside via sliding glass doors, alongside a bio steam room, dry Finnish sauna, wet Swedish sauna, relaxation area and gym. Guests also have access to daily massage treatments, making this a particularly appealing chalet for those who want to make the most of their time off the slopes.
The walk-in wine cellar houses a large collection of fine wines and champagnes, available to enjoy with dinner or after skiing. The ski room goes beyond simple storage, with heated boot warmers, dedicated space for equipment, ambient lighting and surround sound.

Good to Know
Location & Access
- Access is via the Omnia hotel lift, with guests provided with a private code. From the top, there is a short but steep uphill walk to the chalet, so this is worth noting for anyone with limited mobility.
Layout & Space
- Several bathrooms have open-plan layouts and glass elements. They are visually impressive, but may not suit guests who prefer fully enclosed bathrooms.
Design & Style
- This is a highly contemporary chalet, with glass, stone, marble and statement lighting throughout. It may not suit guests looking for a cosy, traditional Alpine interior.
Location & Access
Chalet Zermatt Peak enjoys a privileged position overlooking Zermatt and the iconic Matterhorn. Its elevated setting provides both spectacular views and a sense of privacy, while still being close to the town centre. You can reach the chalet either on foot or via a lift from the nearby five-star hotel, The Omnia.
- Distance to Ski Lift: Short chauffeured taxi ride to Matterhorn Express, Gornergrat or Sunnega lift stations
- Distance to Village Centre: 1-minute walk from Omnia
