The addition of a gondola and two fast chairs in 2007/08 transformed this local ski hill into a serious ski resort with a vertical of over 1,700 metres - the biggest in North America.
Blanketed in an average of 10.5 metres of powder every winter, it is no surprise that this resort holds the record for the most snowfall in Canada in a single winter at an incredible 24.38 metres.
Skiing in Revelstoke offers four high alpine bowls and 75 named runs and areas, including legendary glades and phenomenal groomers. Revelstoke Mountain Resort is a skier’s dream, offering some of the most exhilarating and challenging slopes in the world. The resort is known for its deep powder snow, long runs, and varied terrain that caters mostly to intermediate and advanced skiers.
The resort has 75 named runs spread across 3,121 acres of skiable terrain, and, thanks to the impressive vertical drop, you can expect some seriously lengthy descents. Beginners are not forgotten though, with a decent selection of easier slopes and lessons available to help build confidence.
One of the main highlights of the resort is its famous Stoke Chair, which takes you to the top of the mountain for breathtaking views and access to long, uninterrupted runs. The Ripper Chair on the North side provides access to even more powdery slopes, perfect for powder hounds.
