ESF - fantastic for beginner skiers and young children

Whether you are looking for ski lessons in Courchevel 1850, Courchevel 1650 or Courchevel 1550, ESF has you covered. This English-speaking Courchevel ski school offers everything from group and private ski lessons for all ages to Club Piou Piou for little ones. Club Piou Piou has a maximum of six to a group with the aim to improve children’s skills and confidence through a variety of fun activities. ESF also offers more niche tuition in cross-country skiing, biathlon, telemarking and snowshoe hiking.

ESF marks progress through tests, allowing everyone to track their achievements from the beginning to the end of the week. The tests are divided into three main categories - Children, Teens & Adults and Performance. Goals include mastering parallel turns, short turns and the introduction of slalom and off-piste skiing.

New Generation - a super option for teenagers

With ski schools in both Courchevel 1850 and 1650, New Generation are a popular choice for ski lessons in Courchevel. Ski and snowboard lessons take place in a friendly and welcoming environment and are open to adults, teens and children age four and upwards. As well as a wide range of group and private lessons, New Generation provides specialised courses in freestyle skiing and off-piste skiing.

During peak weeks, all adult groups have two to eight people but in off-peak weeks the groups are usually smaller. Teens can join Pro Rider, a group designed to give teenagers the opportunity to learn and develop in different areas of skiing in a fun environment with others of a similar age. Topics during the week include learning the basics of ski racing, freestyle skiing, avalanche safety and off-piste skiing.

Oxygene - for excellent personalised service

With decades of experience, Oxygene offer a fun and friendly approach to ski lessons. Oxygene’s instructors are highly qualified and know the resort of Courchevel inside out. Offering personalised ski and snowboard guiding and lessons tailored to you, Oxygene make sure you get the most out of your Courchevel ski school experience. Children’s group ski lessons are open to those aged three to twelve and take place in either the morning or afternoon.

If you are interested in skiing off-piste then Oxygene offer either a four-hour morning or seven-hour full day of off-piste guiding/ski touring session. For private lessons, the instructors will meet you at your hotel or chalet. All group lessons start at the base of the Jardin Alpin bubble, opposite the tourist office at the Croisette.

Snow Descente - for private coaching and tuition

Launched in 2010, Snow Descente has an excellent reputation for private coaching and tuition. Instructors will adapt to how you want to spend your day, whether that be taking it slow or trying to notch up as many kilometres as possible. Snow Descente can introduce you to off-piste skiing and ski touring as well as freestyle skiing if learning jumps and tricks in the snow park appeals to you. There is also the option to try cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and even heli-skiing.

Snow Descente have fully qualified instructors with an excellent knowledge of the Three Valleys ski area. They are fluent in English and French and have instructors who can speak Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian too.

Snow D’Light - for a flexible approach

Founded in 2001, Snow D’Light is a British and French run ski school operating in Courchevel, Meribel and La Tania. With innovative teaching techniques, their ski and snowboard lessons are suitable for all ages, groups and abilities. Children’s ski lessons start from age four upwards with up to eight people per instructor. They also offer afternoon clinics for adults if you are unable to commit to a full-week course or to private lessons. These are aimed at those who feel their level has not improved in a while and would like to improve techniques, confidence or control. You must be able to ski comfortably in parallel on blue runs to join.

Private lessons in Courchevel are for up to eight people, making them perfect for large families, groups of friends or corporate ski trips. Snow D’Light are quite flexible when it comes to lesson length and timings. They offer two, three and four hours in the morning and afternoon as well as a full day’s ski tuition.

Supreme Ski - for a fun and friendly team

Having taught over 100,000 hours of ski lessons over 27 years, you can be sure you are in good hands with Supreme Ski. Founded in 1991 in Courchevel, Supreme Ski offer professional, friendly ski and snowboard lessons to English-speaking skiers. Children’s ski lessons have a maximum of six children per class, ensuring each child receives plenty of individual and personalised instruction. Adult group classes have a maximum of only four people per group who are of similar ability to ensure the instructor can deliver a lesson plan to meet the needs of the entire class.

Private ski lessons take place in the morning and afternoon. You can choose from a short morning (two hours) or a long morning (four hours). Private snowboard lessons and guiding are also available.
