Founded by Byron Baciocchi and Max-Hervé George, the Ultima Collection is a unique group of hotels, residences, villas, spas and private clinics with incredible design and bespoke services. Launching with Ultima Gstaad in December 2016, the collection has expanded year on year to include Megeve, Crans Montana and most recently Courchevel. The formula is clearly working and there are plans to add to the collection in Geneva and Corfu. So what is it that makes Ultima so special?

Ultima Gstaad

Think of a superyacht crossed with a luxury chalet and Ultima Gstaad comes to mind. With an abundance of marble, designer furs, silks and velvets, labels including Louis Vuitton and Hermes, not to mention a glass grand piano customised by artist Alec Monopoly (one of two in the world), the setting is striking, to say the least.

Just a 10-minute stroll from the promenade and 100 metres from the nearest ski lift, getting around couldn’t be easier, particularly with the hotel’s chauffeur service on hand. With only 11 suites and six residences, guests can enjoy exclusivity and privacy with the bonus of tailor-made services, a restaurant, three bars and a 1000m² spa and clinic.

It is the spa that is the real highlight here. Comprising of a large indoor pool, hot whirlpool tubs inside and out, a sauna, steam room and gym, all your wellness needs are taken care of. Masseurs are on hand for treatments whilst the Aesthetics Clinic offers state-of-the-art anti-ageing treatments, detoxes, DNA testing and more.

Following on from the success of Ultima Gstaad, Ultima Megeve also adopts the brand’s unique signature design and services. Situated just a few minutes from the centre of Megeve, this luxurious chalet spans an incredible 1,500m² accommodating up to 18 guests in total. With a heliport on sight, guests are able to arrive on the doorstep straight from Geneva airport.

A paradise for families and groups of friends, the chalet has a contemporary look with bronze-covered chimneys, leather-padded headboards and made-to-measure furniture. Every bedroom has connected dressing rooms and bathrooms, and facilities include a cinema, wine cellar, nightclub and of course the signature spa.

Every detail is taken care of, from personalised rooms scents and candles to a menu of pillows to choose from. Chalet staff are available 24 hours a day so you won’t need to lift a finger during your stay.

Ultima Crans Montana

First opening in 2018, this dazzling complex consists of two ultra-luxurious ski-in/ski-out private chalets with all the services of a five-star hotel. Chalet 1 has eight master suites plus two children’s dormitories, a cigar lounge, billiard room and yoga studio. Slightly smaller and more intimate, Chalet 2 has six master suites, a cigar lounge and library.

Both chalets have access to the Ultima Spa & Clinic and a well-equipped fitness room - a treat for athletes. The impressive spa is decorated with Baccarat crystal chandeliers, Kelsey Gray and Bahia Blanca marbles and comprises of a heated outdoor pool, traditional hammam and sauna as well as on-demand clinical services.

The two chalets can be rented independently or together, accommodating 38 guests in total - perfect for celebrating a special event with family or friends.

Ultima Courchevel

One of Ultima’s bigger projects, Ultima Courchevel opened in December 2019 to great reviews. Comprised of 13 elegant chalets situated in the Belvedere neighbourhood, guests have direct access to the slopes from each chalet and all the signature services you’d expect from Ultima, including a concierge, chauffeur, housekeeping and a private chef.

Each chalet has four bedrooms with a private balcony or garden and a spacious living and dining area featuring state-of-the-art lighting, nubuck leather, wood and a contemporary fireplace. The chalets share two spas with an indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, a well-equipped fitness room, aesthetics clinic, cinema, two restaurants and a bar.
