Les Gets - the mountain biking capital of the Alps

This includes three MTB dedicated lifts, 14 downhill tracks, a freeride track, six X-Country trails and various jump parks. All of the trails are categorised by difficulty and are well-signposted, so you can easily choose a trail to suit. Lifts are open to mountain bikers from June to September each year and lift ticket prices range from €28 for a 1-day adult Portes du Soleil to €112 for a 6-day pass.
Tignes - renowned for wide open, rocky trails

If you are looking for bike park style riding then Tignes is the place to go. Part of the Tignes-Val d’Isere mountain biking area, Tignes offers a myriad of manmade and natural trails and the best bit is...it’s totally free. With a “My Tignes” activity card, you benefit from free and unlimited access to the bike park and five mountain bike lifts. 150 km of trails for all levels of riders are available, as well as a bike park, water jump and an airbag too for the braver riders.
Alta Badia - for sunny days and stunning views

Suitable for novices or experienced mountain bikers alike, the season runs from May to October with 300 days of sunshine and plenty of bike-friendly hotels.
If you’re feeling adventurous then the new MTB trails on the Piz Sorega Plateau are worth checking out. There are three trails with differing levels of difficulty which take you down to the low station of the Piz Sorega cable car on different routes. The region is most well-known for its Sellaronda mountain tour which can be tackled clockwise or anti-clockwise and takes anything from five to nine hours, including a lunch break.
Kitzbuhel - diverse and varied terrain to suit all abilities

With over 800 km of trails of varying degrees of difficulty, it is easy to see how Kitzbuhel has established itself as something of a mountain biking mecca. The resort has plenty of natural singletracks and for those who can’t face pedalling up the mountains, then the lifts are on hand to help.
The Ehrenbach Freeride trail is one for the bucket list here - a fantastic riverside descent through the forest punctuated with natural jumps and berms. For a genuine challenge take on the Bike Safari, a 55km circular route from Kitzbuhel and Kirchberg via Jochberg to Pass-Thurn and Resterhöhe, continuing on via Stangenjoch to Aschau before returning to the starting point.
The KitzAlpBike Festival, which this year takes place from 20 - 27 June, attracts many riders and spectators to the region. Now in its 25th year, the festival holds a multitude of biking competitions as well as the MTB Marathon.
Verbier - adrenaline-filled rides on downhill trails

The park has two trails specifically for beginners and a further six for more experienced riders. If you’re looking for a challenge then the Tour de Mont Fort is it, with 60km of leg-burning ascents linking three resorts: Nendaz, Verbier and La Tzoumaz.
A must for mountain biking fanatics is the Verbier E-Bike Festival which this year runs from 13 - 16 August. Participants can enjoy a variety of activities dedicated to gravel, road cycling, enduro and downhill, from discovery tours and contests to e-bike tests and much more.
