Property Tour & Rooms
Top-floor apartment with Matterhorn views
Occupying the entire top floor of a traditional Swiss chalet, Zermatt Lodge combines a central position with far-reaching views over the village rooftops towards the Matterhorn. The apartment is just 50 metres from Zermatt’s main street, with the Sunnegga and Gornergrat lifts both around a five-minute walk away.
Inside, the style is warm and alpine, with exposed beams, aged timber floors and a series of sociable spaces arranged beneath the sloping roofline. The main living area is divided into several zones, giving the apartment a relaxed, homely feel.
The suspended wood-burning fireplace is the centrepiece, surrounded by sculptural mushroom stools and comfortable seating. To one side, an L-shaped leather sofa creates a cosy TV area, while the dining space seats up to 12 around a long table. The open-plan kitchen is close by for relaxed dinners or breakfasts before skiing.
A full-length south-facing balcony runs along the living area, bringing in views of the Matterhorn and giving guests a place to step outside for a coffee or aperitif.
Zermatt Lodge sleeps 10 guests across five en-suite bedrooms. The bedrooms are arranged into two wings, making it a practical choice for two families travelling together. The master bedroom has balcony access, a wood-burning stove and a bathtub positioned beside the fire, while the other bedrooms offer good flexibility, with several able to be configured as doubles or twins.
After skiing, the private sauna and outdoor hot tub provide an opportunity to relax and unwind.

Good to Know
Layout & Space
- The ski room is located on the ground floor and shared with other apartments in the building.
- Some bathrooms are open to the bedrooms, offering a contemporary design but less privacy.
Wellness & Amenties
- The hot tub is semi-sheltered and tucked into the corner of the balcony; there’s a glass divider between you and the view, so while the Matterhorn is still in sight, it’s not the most open panorama.
Location & Access
Perched on the top floor of a charming chalet, Zermatt Lodge is just steps from the main street and the Sunnegga funicular with unrivalled panoramic views over the village rooftops.
- Distance to Ski Lifts: 5-minute walk to Sunnegga or Gornegrat
- Distance to Village Centre: 50m from the main street/ 5-minute walk
