Part of the 7 Heavens collection, Chalet Elbrus occupies a central yet discreet position in Zermatt, just a short walk from the Sunnegga funicular and close to the village centre, shops, restaurants and railway station. Recently renovated, the chalet combines old timber, contemporary furnishings and large windows that frame views towards the Matterhorn.

The main living floor sits at the top of the chalet, where high-beamed ceilings and picture windows bring in plenty of light. The sitting and dining areas are arranged around a wood-burning fireplace, with access to a balcony for clear mountain views.

The open-plan kitchen includes a breakfast bar and pizza oven, while a separate professional kitchen allows catered service to run quietly behind the scenes.

Chalet Elbrus sleeps up to 10 adults and 2 children across five en-suite bedrooms. Two master bedrooms sit on the second floor, both opening onto a shared balcony, while the first floor has two twin bedrooms and a children’s bunk room. There is also an office on the second floor, useful for anyone who needs a quiet place to work or take calls during the week.

The private spa is also located on the top floor, with a large indoor hot tub and sauna. A separate TV room gives children or teenagers their own space in the evenings, while guests also have access to the shared 7 Heavens gym, central lobby and bar area.

Practical facilities include a private ski room with heated boot warmers, laundry facilities and an internal lift connecting the floors.

Location & Access

Chalet Elbrus is in one of Zermatt’s most convenient positions, particularly for guests skiing from Sunnegga. The chalet is accessed through the 7 Heavens central lobby before reaching its private entrance.

Layout & Space

Alongside the show kitchen on the top floor, there is a professional kitchen on the first floor where the chef can prepare meals before finishing service upstairs.

Wellness & Amenties

The wellness area is beautifully designed, but the massage bed is in the open-plan relaxation space rather than a private room, so it may not suit those who prefer a more discreet setting.
