One of the most important aspects of a ski holiday with family is choosing the right resort, and when there are so many options of where to go skiing in Europe it can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. It can be particularly tricky to find the best ski resort for large families if there are several different age groups travelling.

If you’re skiing with teenagers then you should consider a modern resort such as Tignes in France which has a range of accommodation, access to more than 300 km pistes and plenty of winter activities for teens to enjoy such as dog sledding, ice skating and snowmobiling. If skiing with children, then a resort with excellent ski schools, accessible nursery slopes and childcare options is a must. It is also important to consider which is the best ski resort for the non-skiers in your family. Staying in a luxury chalet in Zermatt whilst enjoying excellent restaurants, beautiful scenery and varied hiking trails is often a popular choice.
